Actin filament (F-actin) networks

Manufacturing of suspended networks of biomolecules

Thanks to the precision of the automated-positioning tool and the customizable design of stamp structuration, it is possible to create complex networks of actin filament. By running multiple prints on the same substrate one can notably create defined crossroad angles.

Using structured substrates as target surface for printing, the InnoStamp 40 allows for the manufacturing of suspended networks of biomolecules. In the case of actin molecules, it is then possible to study the motion of myosin on actin filaments which is involved in the process of muscle contraction.

The suspended molecules could also be analyzed by Atomic Force Microscope in order to investigate their physical properties such as rigidity but also more complex dynamic physiological processes.
