Nimbus I-Care

IntraOperative Neurophysiological Monitoring device

Dedicated to surgeons for a daily use

nimbus i care

The Nimbus i-Care is dedicated to the motor and sensory peripheral nerves and to central nervous system stimulation for neurosurgery, ENT surgery and Spinal surgery.

This device is also able to monitor the electromyographic (EMG) signal in response of this stimulation.

The Nimbus i-Care is dedicated to surgeons for a daily use in the operating rooms.

Brain Neurosurgery (CNS):

  • Cortical and subcortical mapping: Direct electrical stimulation as help for excision of glioma located in the motor and language areas.

Neuronal Neurosurgery (PNS):

  • Monitoring of the cranial nerves (motor) : cerebellopontine angle surgery and skull base surgery (Acoustic neuroma)
  • Stimulation and location of the peripheral nerves (motor and sensory) : Spasticity correction surgery (neurotomy)
  • Simulation and location of the spinal roots : Spasticity correction surgery (Selection Dorsal Rhizotomy)

Head ENT surgery:

  • Monitoring of the facial nerves: Parotid gland surgeries
  • Monitoring of the recurrent nerves:Thyroid surgery
  • Promontory stimulation prior cochlear implant intervention

spinal Orthopedics and spinal surgery:

  • Monitoring of the pedicle screw placement in the Spine surgery

tactile

  • Touch screen
  • Intuitive and simple interface
  • One click start : access to predefined settings for each clinical indication or to personal sessions from system startup
  • Ability to save a customized sessions from predefined configurations

screen stim

  • Continuous display of programmed parameters, delivered current intensity and measured current circuit impedance (visual indicator)
  • Audible indicator that demonstrates the correct circulation of the stimulation current (possible switch-off)
  • Continuous adaptation of the delivered stimulation current according to the measured impedance

screen 2emg

  • EMG needles lead-off detection
  • Ability to identify each EMG recording channels
  • Continuous monitoring over 8 EMG channels on a graphic color screen (reading speed and trigger mode adjustment)
  • Continuous display of the latency measurement and of the amplitude EMG waveform
  • Easy to read graphics: detection and deletion of the stimulation artefact, graphic scale to be adjusted for a better visibility
  • Easy detection of the EMG signals thanks to audible and visual warning with an adjustable threshold

screen menu

  • Data recording, saving and data exportation by USB port to computer or printer (EMG curves).
  • Recording of EMG curves in PDF or CSV format
  • Importation and saving of customized configurations
  • Continuous intensity setting from the sterile zone via remote control or via touch screen thanks to the knob.
